For publishers and creators

Jist is a personal reader. Each person chooses the publications, newsletters, podcasts and YouTube channels they follow, and Jist shows them what those sources publish, with AI summaries that credit and link back to the original.
How Jist reads your site
- Jist retrieves the RSS, Atom, podcast and YouTube channel feeds that its users follow, and sometimes the article page a feed item links to, so the piece can be shown in the reader.
- For podcast episodes without a published transcript, Jist downloads the episode audio once to transcribe it.
- Requests identify themselves with the user agent
Jist/0.1 (+https://app.tryjist.com/publishers). - Jist polls politely: it sends conditional requests, so unchanged feeds cost you almost nothing, and it checks each feed about as often as you publish.
- When your page says an article isn’t free to read, or a paywall is detected, Jist shows only a preview and a link to your site.
- Every item, summary and share page names your publication and links to the original.
What you can ask for
Email support@tryjist.com with “Publisher request” in the subject. Write from an address at your publication’s domain, or explain your connection to it, and tell us what you’d like. For example:
- show only previews and links for your content;
- stop retrieving your site or feed;
- leave your site, show or channel out of the directory people search to add sources (where it comes from);
- correct a summary that misrepresents your work.
